On What Surface Should I build My Computer?

Hi,
I just recently bought all my computer's part, and now I was wondering on what surface should I build it. have a glass table(A big one) with a plastic cover on it.
Should I remove the plastic (so that I can build on the glass) or build on the plastic cover itself?

anything will sufice aslong as it isent static or on the floor, a classic wood table is fine

Well, the problem is that I don't have a wood table ..
So I have only two options:
Either the Bare Glass Table , or the Plastic Surface on top of the glass table .
Which one should I build one?

i second a wooden table to bench. always a good idea to wipe down and dry the table before to any build. you could also use a a large foam pad or peace of cardboard to build on to

Build it on the glass as it does not hold a static charge unlike plastic

Yes absolutely it will be fine.
If you are really concerned you can get antistatic mats.
Its a good idea to build the motherboard on the antistatic foam that comes as packaging with the mobo.

Grab the box your case came in, tear it so you can lay it flat and build on that. Cardboard is non-conductive.

With your comments , I've decided to build(external build) the motherboard on the motherboard box and I'll lay the box on the glass table.
Is That okay?
