is 500 watt PSU enough for my PC?

is 500w branded PSU enough to my CPU im just worried that my PSU is overdoing it sorry for the grammar im not great in Speaking in English really. me from the Philippines xD


my Specs

amd FX 4100 3.6 ghz
Palit GTS 450
msi 760GM-P23 (FX)
8 gb ram kingston
1 LG dvd drive
1tb drive
500 watts (branded PSU)

i can play battlefield 3 on medium settings Smooth no lag maybe at 50 to 60 fps??
also i can play almost of the new games today smoothly
like AC 3 at normal settings
crysis 3 at low settings but runs smoothly

but sometimes im just curious that nba2k13 lag. ingame. does power related to that?
im just afraid that my PSU will worn out? i dont know the term xD

Yep its fine, when idling it is around 140w when gaming 200w+, you should have no problems. On the other hand if you are wishing to overclock or SLi/Crossfire 2 GPU's then you will need to invest in a better PSU. AMD recommend a minimum of 400/450w.

And in answer to your other question your GPU causes the 'lag' or drop in FPS.
