PC Specs
Windows 8 64bit
i7 920 @ 2.67GHz
Corsair 6gb RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti
650w Corsair PSU

I mainly play WoW and i recently(~3 months ago) got this new graphics card and it has performed well up until about 2 weeks ago when i noticed a massive fps drop(which hadnt been present before) when i tried to raid or do battlegrounds. The problem mainly occurs when there are a few nameplates or players on the screen or a lot of spell effects, but the fps drop is also noticeable in certain game zones when im by myself.
When i get the low fps (~10-20) the game becomes a slideshow, it feels like there is a delay on everything.
The 'recommended' settings for my pc are all either high or ultra and i've never had any trouble running the game with those settings (I actually tend to run a little lower than suggested as i pretty much only need spell detail high).

The reason im posting is because im unsure if the problem is indeed the graphics card or whether something else could be causing this.

I'd appreciate any help i can get with this!

First thing to do would be to check your temps.

If they seem fine, check your drivers. You may have updated and something may have gone wrong. You could try uninstalling them and reinstalling and seeing if this solves your issue.

Do other games seem have taken a performance hit?

I've checked the temps for cpu and graphics card a few times and neither have been high, I've also formatted my pc since this started happening, so i've re-installed basically everything, i've also tried using older drivers as apparently some people have been having trouble with the 320.xx drivers and WoW, but nothing seems to have any effect.

Regarding other games, i've only really been playing dota2 and counter-strike global offensive and havent noticed anything like the fps drop i get on WoW.
