i wanted to know is there something wrong with my video card i was on here yesterday talking to a guy about my 8400 gs video card on default gpu clock is
566mhz and memory clock is 400mhz when i run stress test with furmark with the circle fuzzy donut on defualt only goes up too 68c for the tempature now then i overclocked it with evga precision up too 800mhz gpu clock and 525mhz memory clock and ran stress test with furmark at 1280x720 for 5 min and the tempature only goes up too 72c but when i look at nvida webpage and hear about other people who have overclocked 8400gs they say thats impossible for my 8400gs 512mb card to be stable when overclocked that high so how is it possible for me or is something wrong with my card literally i can crank it up too 850 gpu and 550 memory run stress test on furmark for 5 min and tempature barely goes up and is stable so what the freak is going on

Throw that card in the garbage. for 40 dollars used you can pick up something 10 times more powerful.

5 Minutes isn't long enough to stress test. Test for a couple of hours - if it's still good, then you're fine.

Unfortunately though it is the answer to the problem you have which is the 8400GS

Overclocking that card is like putting a turbo charger on a lawnmower it can be done but will offer nothing in the way of advantage beyond energy consumption and heat.

You are beating a dead horse and telling it to run faster
