Hi tom's hardware, i am currently having an issue with my internet on my hp computer. Windows 7 says it couldn't find drivers for my network adapter, however, I don't use a network adapter because it's plugged right into the router. When I investigated further, my ethernet controller driver couldn't be found. I've looked all over google for the right drivers and it still couldn't be found. If anybody could show me to the right driver i'm hoping I could install it to a disc and bring it over to my computer.

My computer is a hp p6-2143w, my processor is a AMD a6-3650 with Radeon HD graphics and it's running at 2.6 ghz. I'd be happy to provide you with any more information needed. Thanks.

Hi,

Goto hp website and goto support for p6-2143w.

From there you will be able to download the driver.
You can also make a system restore or revert to old driver in device manager.

If none of this is working you might have a defective NIC or a virus that is blocking the driver

Always go to the source first. In this case, www.hp.com.

Assuming Windows 7 64bit:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Softwa...

Scroll down until you see "Original Realtek Network Controller Driver"

That is what you want.
