I recently bought a Power Color HD 7970 3 gig ddr5 to replace my 4890 1 gig ddr5 , but when i try to run the PC from my new display there is no signal on the screen. Also my mouse and keyboard don't seem to be getting power , I am currently using a 1000 Watt Power supply and have tested this with two other Power supplies 750 Watt and 700 Watt and the same problem occurred. My old graphics card works fine with the rig and isn't causing the problem at all. I'm currently using an Intel DH77EB motherboard and a core i5 3570K processor with 6 gig's of dd3 memory. I have used driver sweeper to wipe all drivers from my hard drive , and also reset the bios (Software reset and by removing battery), but to no avail , I tested the 7970 in another PC (Running a DX58SO and an i7 930 along with 4 gigs of ddr3 memory and it works perfectly on that) , I have also made sure that the 6 pin and 8 pin connector was correctly input and also that the card was seated properly. I have also tried running an pencil eraser across the bottom part of the card , but that also didn't help. I have also tried tampering with the bios settings by disabling on-board card , but that also didn't work. Also no beeps are occurring when the PC boot's with the 7970.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your new gpu on another Cpu or your frd cpu to satisfy that your gpu is working fine or not

I have tested the 7970 on another PC that uses a different Motherboard and CPU and i can confirm that the card does work correctly on that PC , but it does not work correctly on my DH77EB , while all other cards that I have tested on my motherboard works fine , only the 7970 does not.

Have you tried booting the computer up using the IGP on the i5. You can check in device manager if the card is acknowledged by the system. If it detects a display adapter you should be able to install the drivers from the manufacturer's disk or Catalyst.
