GTX 670 vs 760 vs 770

I am currently investigating an upgrade from my current GPU (570) and was wondering which of the 3 above would be the best choice (obviously the 770 is the highest performing).

The models I have picked out are as follows:

Zotac 770 AMP!/Gigabyte 770 Windforce (£340-£360)

MSI GTX 670 Power Edition (£270)

Zotac 760 AMP!/Gigabyte 760 Windforce (£220-230)

Would it be worth it to by the 760/670 and overclock? I was planning to get the 760Ti, but it doesn't look like that is going to be released. In that case, would the 670 be the best choice since that is most likely the card which would have been replaced by the 760Ti?

Just to complicate things a bit, I would probably SLI in the future - how easy is it likely to be to obtain GTX 670's in the future?

Thanks a lot.

I see no point in the 670 anymore thanks to the 760. Id go with the Windforce 760 but im biased

Hi - If you have the funds, go for the 770, it has noticeably better performance than
the others (why it's more money). Don't know the rest of your system tho,
including monitor resolution. Don't want you to spend xtra for performance
you wouldn't realize.

+1 to that. GTX770 will only give 20-25% more framerates on average, probably not worth £100 extra! And the GTX670 is barely faster at all.

Best solution

You can also get a GTX760 with quality cooler for a bit less than that:

Thanks folks, might go with that GTX 760 linked above and overclock it a bit (as reviews for that particular card emphasise how good an overclocker it is.

Reviews say that you can achieve +/- a few frames of stock 770, which isn't bad for a £100+ saving.

Good choice :-) Have fun with it!

Do you folks think that the GTX 760 linked above would be able to max Watch Dogs and the Witcher 3 at 1080P?

I know CD Projekt optimised the Witcher 2 very well so hopefully that trend continues with the next game.

It's not a dealbreaker - having to turn a couple of settings down isn't the end of the world, but I was curious to hear your thoughts.

Probably! It's only Crysis 3 it can't quite max at 1080p (and it's not far off at all - almost decent performance, just not quite there).
