Hello everyone, I finsihed my first build and am having an issue that I think has be addressed before but I wanted to know if there was more info out since the last time anyone posted about it.
I have the G skills 1866 ram (4x8) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231529. When I go into the Bios the ram is read at 1333. So I did 2 things (not at the same time).
1) I went into the Ai Tweaker and just changed the ram speed to 1866, then I went to the save and reset changes option, after that the screen went black and would not to anything even after a few resets. The Q code was 69, and the mem ok light was on steady. I unplugged the system and waited a little. After that I turned it on it reverted back to the 1333 ram speed.
2) After all that I did some research and found out that I could use the XMP mode. So I only changed the mode to xmp, and saved the changes, after that it reset and again I had a black screen with the same Q code of 69, and the mem ok light on steady.

So I don't now what to do or if something (cpu or mobo) is defective. Thank you for your help guys!
