Buy a "PS4" or "Custom PC bulit" or Wait For valve's "Steam Box"???

Hey everyone,

I need advice on buying a new gaming system.
I wud really love a PC, but its too damn expensive to build one, even to play games at low-medium settings!!!
I really think to go for a PS4 coz its Cheap and occupies less space!!
But i know i cant do all the things on PS4 like on PC (like dwnldin movies, streaming Youtube, etc).
So wats ur advice guys!
I really am out of choice, help me select one :)

Oh and Valves New Steam Box, is it true it can do anything (like dwnldin movies, streamin youtube, etc) similar to PC!!??
Then it might be cool!!
Shud i wait and buy one?

since i'm from srilanka, biuldin a PC is so expensive that it exceeds USD1000 to bulid a PC with 3rd gen core i5 3470, Radeon HD 7770, 18.5 " monitor and cheap motherboard and casing!! But with gud 3yr warranty!!

But as in Newegg and Ebay, i know u can bulid a high end for USD1000!!
But in my case, that wont happen!
So PS4 or Steam Box?

Steam box. It will be much better than a console.
