My Open Loop Build. Need some help with what I may require!

Okay. I'm no newbie to building computers but when it comes down to overclocking and watercooling, I know quite little. To kick it off, here's my build. I have none of it, it's just all priced up waiting for me to earn some money :p

Zalman Z11 Plus case, MSI Z87-G45 board and i5-4670k, Kingston HyperX Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (May go for a second in the future, at the cost of it, very distant future!) and a Corsair GS800 PSU. Going to stick in a 2TB HDD and a 250GB SSD for the OS and a couple of games.

It has been recommended that as my PC room is small and heats up quickly (Sits around 25-30 degrees with window and door shut I think) that I go for a 1080 rad with 4 180mm fans on my windowsill and two d5 pumps to get the water the 3m each way between the window and the PC. I have been looking and it seems this may be quite overkill as I'd like to keep costs down and the build quiet. What does everyone reccommend? Overclocking is a possibility but with the quality of the build, not something I'll immediately do.

*GPU's may be watercooled as well but at the cost of £90, odds are I'll just buy one gpu and watercool it.

Do you not think that the 1080 radiator and the 6m of tube is a bit overkill or do you think it'd heat up too much with a radiator mounted to the case?
And I take it that you mean a closed loop cooler?

Prior to asking for suggestions, why not link that original thread where it is discussed why those recommendations were mafe so people can get a full picture

Unless, you just want people to tell you what you want to hear, not what you need to...

Given situations described, and multiple options given, and limitations of d5 distance capabilities, I stand by our recommendations.

Sure you could do it cheaper. But you asked for best performance vs value for a unique situation. We made very solid recommendations for that. Anything less will either wind up costing more as we showed you, or compromise performance capabilities

We told you what you needed to hear. Obviously not what you wanted.

Oh that was your reccomendation xD I was just looking through the internet at what most people have and most peoeple just use a 2 fan rad for their cpu and add a 3rd rad section for a 3rd fan if they add a gpu, I think that 9 120 fans or 4 180 fans might be a little bit too much, especially with 2 pumps, that just drives the cost up even further. Maybe a 2 section rad on top and another mounted on the back might be enough? Im not fussed for mega overclocking just yet, and if I am, I'll see how much room I have to move for temperature

Im fairly certain that the high temperatures in the room are caused by my current computer which is always roasting compared to any computer. Do you not think I could get away with a 3x120 or maybe even 3x180 for just the cpu by itself? And I also have forgot to mention, I'm scrapping the fanless plan. Sound will be caused by the pumps and psu fan so fans with a fan controller won't do any harm

Again, read the thread. I first suggested 3x120 or 4x120. You wanted quiet. We suggested 180s due to lower noise. Then you added gpu cooling. We suggested 9x120 or 2 3x120 at minimum. You asked if 2 4x120 would work, we said yes. This was all started due to no air movement or heat dissipation in the room.Hence the window mount and need for overradding and distance pumping.

I have done, I'll give it some thought but I think I may just get cpu cooling with 2 2x180 radiators and when I get more money upgrade it to a larger rad, extra pump and do the window mounting method. Thanks.
While you're here, in terms of performance what's the difference between 3/8" and 1/2" and any other sizes of tubing? And what type of fittings do you recommend, compression or barb, or is it down to personal preference?
