Hello everyone!! Im building my new pc right now and Im almost done!! I just ran into a little problem as I was plugging the last wires! (classic xD)

Question: So, my brand new msi gtx 770 lightning as two 8 pins connector for power from the PSU, The thing is I kept my old ocz 700watt powersupply and it has 1x6+2 pins and 1x6pins pcie wire. So the 6+2 is already plugged and is gonna work well, But is the 6pins only wire gonna cause any problem since the card gonna have 2 unused pins ?
thanks TH community!!

test it then you'll know, probably it will cause most cases its taked from 6 pins anyway, if it works then you are good to go with it!

then it can be that you can buy a 6 pin extend to 8pin that could work or another choice is getting new PSU like Corsair TX-650 or so which have 8 pin connectors, have you trying to swap these cables? if yes then i gave suggestions to make it work

Did your card not come with molex adapters? They should have, use those, problem solved.
