Planning on Making a Gaming PC With No Experience Whatsoever

As the title says, I'm planning on making my own gaming PC, but I have no experience in the PC construction field. I'd like to finish my build within the month, but it all depends on how quickly I get my parts list together and find a good construction and setup guide. I'm looking to spend no more than $2,000, but still end up with a solid gaming PC. I'd like to have a multiple monitor setup, but I do not know how to set up such a thing. Windows 7 is my preferred operating
system, and I would much rather have it than anything else. I'm living in Garden Valley, California, USA. My primary parts source will be newegg.com, but once I get my parts list together, I will likely shop around. As far as brand preferences are concerned, I would like an Intel CPU and NVidia graphics card. I would rather not overclock any of my systems. I am making this new computer because I currently have a 4 year old laptop, which is not the best gaming rig. Sorry for the scattered sentences, I'm just answering the applicable questions from the posting guide before I begin listing what parts I have found already. I found a few part selection guides, none of which were very helpful to me, but they gave me a vague idea of what parts I need to get. What I'd like to know is if these parts will work together, if you have any better parts suggestions, and what case(s) and cooling system(s) you recommend. In addition, if I have neglected to include parts required for things a PC typically has, I would appreciate it if you told me. I would also appreciate any good construction/setup guides. Posting my parts with newegg.com links below. Thank you for your time.

No need for a sound card, more than adequate sound "on board"

You didn't have a SSD in ya build .... but I threw one in .... if ya don't want, it gets you $34 below budget

32 GB of RAM is a waste unless ya working huge spreadsheets, animation or something other than gaming

1155 socket systems performs just as well but that socket is now "obsolete"

skip the core i7 and go for the core i5 k series, the i7 performance to price premium does not justify the purchace, you would be better off with a core i5 and save some money also
