Okay, so my 8800GTS(640) is kiling it self.... so Im struggling on my purchase.

Should I go ahead and get a cheap 650ti for now and wait for HD8000 OR should I just go ahead and get a GTX760?

Thanks,
Wes

If you can't wait, get the GTX760, however AMD's new GPU series will probably be better. I would wait and save up for a high end AMD card.(if your PC supports it)

Yeah you could be waiting a while for the new Radeons. I was hoping for / expecting GTX700 series to launch around March (like they have done previous years) and ended up waiting quite a while for GTX760. It's an exceptional card for your money - near enough the same speed as GTX670 for a much less expense.

Yeah.... the wait is what is going to kill me... I cant use this 8800gts anymore... But since the 8000 isnt confirmed for launch yet I guess the 760 is what I should get.... I just like AMD a bit more then nvidia is the only thing holding me back

I'm actually impressed it lasted that long. My brother's died after three years and mine after two and a half. There was some problem with the solder material breaking down over time. I tried baking mine in the oven (no joke - it worked for some people) but no effect. Anyway get that GTX760 and enjoy it :)

You can always wait for the next best thing it all depends on where you want to draw the line. You could always buy a 760 now and by the time a new card comes out the price will probably be halved by then so you can buy a second one and run them in SLI. All up to you though.

Yeah you're right. I will just go that path. From what I understand Nvidia's drivers are a bit better right now in stability.

Thanks yall. BTW I have a choice between 3

One is the blower type of cooler- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130938

other 2 is

ASUS-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121775

MSI- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745

I'd recommend EVGA. They are great when it comes to customer service and card quality. ASUS not so much... Plus that blower cooler is pretty cool looking and functions well ;)
