Alright so recently I've been unable to both download programs (primarily games) and figured it was a problem with corrupt or missing windows files. I had a lot of trouble figuring out why even sfc /scannow wouldn't work but managed to fix that problem.
Now on completing the scan, I got the message "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them". I mean I get that the message is pretty straight forward, but I don't have the slightest clue as to how to sift through the cbs log to find out which files were in fact corrupt or how to fix them if at all possible (without a fresh install, I'm trying to avoid a fresh install if at all possible even if the workaround is longer/more difficult).
If sfc can't fix the files, are there any programs which can or supposedly should? Maybe I should check my registry for errors as well? I've been having a lot of problems with software in general which was due to a faulty stick of RAM. I actually downloaded windows with the RAM so I assume I can chalk up most of the software problems to that.
I'm clueless as to what I should do anymore (again, I really would prefer another option besides a fresh install). I appreciate any and all help anybody can give me, and thanks in advance!
