I'm building a PC for my mate and have build on a local PC building website but I think things are overprice there. Its been 2 years since I bought my PC and I don't know about the prices of CPUs any more. I build this PC ( http://www.cougar-extreme.co.uk/computer_systems/205B_home_PC_socket_AM3_bulldozer_fx_base_unit.html) on this website but The processor is like £280 when I can buy it on E-Buyer ( http://www.scan.co.uk/products/amd-fx-4100-black-edition-orochi-core-s-am3plus-36ghz-8mb-total-cache-ht-3200mhz-95w-retail-10-cashb?utm_source=google+shopping&utm_medium=google+shopping&gclid=COe_nLHKmbgCFYXMtAodmkgALA ) for like £80...
I also don't have great knowledge on RAM.
Here is the card he's having... ( http://www.ebuyer.com/491326-msi-amd-r7950-880-960mhz-5000mhz-3072mb-384-bit-ddr5-fan-dl-dvi-i-hdmi-2-mini-dp-r7950-tf-3gd5-oc-be )
Somebody with current experience with PC building, please list the best components for £600-£650
Buying components separately as I can build PC's myself.
Thanks a lot in advance guys
And by the way, -£100 for the monitor (he doesn't want hdmi) so basically 500-550 for case components.

Solution
I think the CPU price actually covers the entire basic system - look at the other hardware options, the most basic choice is free. So it's not *that* bad of a deal.
