Requirments for games

I was wondering if these spec's are enough for modern games such as Skyrim,Borderlands 2, Metro Last Light, Battlefield 3, etc...

CPU:AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz
RAM:G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB
GPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7790 OC 1GB
HDD: WD Blue 500 GB

Depends largely on the resolution, should be pretty great at sub-1080p resolutions, but at 1080p you'll need to scale back settings a bit.

Also, is this a system you already have or are planning to buy? Because there is better for the same money right now.

Get a Phenom II X4 965 BE if you can instead of the Athlon. Also, what power supply are you getting?

Don't cheap out on the PSU, it could lead to the the whole computer dying.

Get something from tier 3 or above:

Ok I've been searching around and found a bit more reliable psu. Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 500w. Also will 500w be enough for this specs?

Still bad. by Tier 3 and above, I meant Tiers 3, 2, 1, and 2b. Tier 4 is still a no-no for new builds.

Ok well i decided to change my build, seems like the most important parts cant be upgraded more such as the psu. So i went with this- CPU-Intel Pentium G860
RAM-G.SKILL 4GB Ram(1X4GB)
GPU-SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7770
Motherboard-MSI H61M-P31
HDD-Western Digital WD Blue 500 GB
Case-NZXT Source 210
DVD Drive- Black SATA 24X DVD Burner
PSU-Corsair CX 430

CPU- $69.99

For the Gpu I decided to change to the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7790 OC for $124.99

You fill in the rebate form after printing it and send it in. A few months later, you get a card with cash on it.

It should be ok for medium settings. Dual channel ram would be better but it isn't a huge issue.
