Can I use this unusual fan?

My dad used to work for IBM and still has some stuff from their. He used to make super computers and servers I think. But I found this usual fan. I searched it up and it is apparently a CPU cooler. I wonder if I could use this in my rig with Phenom II X4 965 in my Cooler Master Elite 430 or use it for anything.

I've seen laptop and server fans that look like that.

Could you use it? Maybe. How creative are you?
It's not a simple bolt on item.

Well I could always ask my dad for help since he got me into this computer stuff. But I am not a totaly noob. I am willing enough if it worth it. I plan to buy Hyper 212 Plus since the stock fan is annoying. My dad said it was quiet fan.

Will it power on and run? Sure. It appears to be a regular 4 pin connector.

Now...what you do with it is the key. Be creative.
Beware...server fans are not especially quiet.

Those fans were very common in the old mini case Dell / Gateway things .... i'd sometimes pick em up from the curb on garbage day, reformat them and give em to neighn]borhood kids.
