When restarting my computer to install some Windows Updates, Windows won't load. The trouble is like this:
1) BSOD
2) Goes to "Windows is loading files"
3) :Startuo Repair is checking your system"
4) "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically
5) Computer turns off, I turn it on and keep getting the same messages as above.
I tryed booting in "Safe Mode" to do a "System Restore" but goes thru the same loop of trouble.

I Also tryed to boot up with original Windows7 OS disc that I have but could not repair the OS this way either.

Next, i ran System file Checker.
X:\Sources> sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=D:\Windows
but the scan could run. I got this message: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation"

HP Compaq Desktop
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, SP1

Any ideas as to how to fix this & get the computer to bootup?

I ran chkdsk & it returned no hd errors. Why do you think that this is hardware trouble? I think that Windows Update
has toasted my computers OS. OS data corrution issue. Software not hardware trouble.

Hard drive test reported no errors. So based on the results of the two hardware scans & everything else, I have concluded that Windows not being able to load is strictly a software issue.
