What are the chances a part will come DOA? (Dead On Arrival)

I'm about to order 8 parts off NewEgg to build my first computer. How often do parts come DOA? I'm kinda paranoid. I just don't wanna have to wait two weeks to replace the broken part.

It used to be a big issue, and it is now just about nonexistent. Pre-built systems have a slightly higher risks but standard parts are very, very reliable in shipping. Newegg and sites similar are very good with this too. Ebay would be where you would start to worry.
