I have a quick question about ram memory voltage compatibility
I have an asrock extreme 6 mobo and getting ready to buy some ram, I am looking to buy the crucial ballistic sport (low profile) ddr3 1600 pc3 12800.
The question is these sticks run 1.35v. All regular profile ram looks to be 1.5v.
I am looking at the low profile to make sure I clear a evo 212 cpu cooler. Is there a big difference? Is it compatible?, or is it fine?

Solution
First don't even worry about the EVO, the fan can be adjusted for height...JEDEC standard for DDR3 is 1.5, in most instances the newer low voltage sets will work (more w/ Intel than AMD), the Rock mobos are pretty good compatibility wise with LV sticks so will prob be fine with them, if you go that way and have a problem, just try raising the DRAM voltage to 1.4....Should be fine, if any problem give me a holler

Well, thank you very much for your reply. Heck, in that case i'll just get the regular ram sticks, they're a little cheaper anyway.
