RAM: 8GB crucial ballistix sport
HDD: Samsung 1tb 7200rpm
GPU: Powercolor AX7770 amd radeon HD 7770 GHz ddr5 1 GB

I would say look at toms best GPU list they break it down by cost and recommend cards based on different price levels. Then just fool around with settings to get the best look performance combo you can. Example for me personally would be I think games look better at 1080p with lower settings than the do at say 720p with higher settings. But once you grab a card you can then play around with various settings and resolutions untill you reach a setting that makes you most happy.

Looks like for your budget the 650ti is the best you can get. I would suggest thinking about the 650ti boost for $20 more...

I can say for sure Ultra will not be in that cards future. I know I had a GTX680 in my PC for a bit and I could run Far Cry 3 on Full settings BUT it was not a conatant 60 FPS. That card would be comparable to AMD 7970. Thats all for 1080p though if your gaming at a lower res you may pull it off. the 1GB of ram on the card will be a bit low for alot of games at "ultra" settings even if the card had the power to do it.

I have a 660 Ti and I play Far Cry 3 on ultra and nearly always have 60FPS.

At what resolution? Because I had a GTX680 in my PC and it would not stay at 60 FPS on ultra setting at all. would dropt to 55-50 some times (not for log BUT) So im sure if a 680 will not stay at 60FPS then a 660TI will be even lower.

My native is 1920x1080 but id gladly go as low as 1363x768 i just wanna make sure i can play games with at least 40fps on the highest or close to. Not necessarily ultra but definitely high. the problem is i wanna stay below 150 for the graphics card cost

Looks like even at 1680x1050 that card will not be playing Crysis 3 at max settings.
