I've been looking around for a decent budget gaming pc. I was poking around eBay today and found what I think to be a pretty good one for $399. It is a "heavily upgraded" Dell Studio XPS 435T. Here are the specs:
CPU - Intel I7 920 (Quad Core 2.66Ghz)
Motherboard - EVGA X58 SLI LE
Ram - Corsair Dominator 6GB DDR3 (Tri Channel)
Hard Drive - 500GB 7200RPM (New)
Graphics - EVGA Nvidia GTX 260 768MB
Windows 7 Home Premium
Aftermarket Noctua Heatsink
The only issue is that it is missing the I/O shield for the mobo. Not sure what PSU it has either, I might contact the seller for that.
I know the video card may be a bit outdated, but I think if I bought a better one new/used and put it in there I would have a decent gaming computer (I'm not looking for a next-gen-running rig, basically the height of my aspirations is like Skyrim on mid-high lol). So what do you guys think? Good or bad deal?
