No display in PC after sudden power off.
I was playing a game , and the power wen off just for a second.
I have a UPS , but its battery was in out of order for a few days....
I tried to reboot the PC , everything seemed normal , but there is no display...
I tried all troubleshooting techniques to solve the problem. But failed with all.
I tried with bios battery removed , jumpers switched , removed all other hardware like HDD and DVD RW...
Today morning I tried it once again .
Did nothing , just turned it on and it worked .
I used it for a hour or something , no issues , tried many restarts , everything was normal .
There , the power went off again , a blackout.

When the power came back , I tried to turn my PC on , but the problem came back .
I tried more than 2 hours , doing many trouble shooting techniques, but non worked.
I thought it will be my PSU's issue, and tried with an smps and monitor of my friend.
But it gave the same result.
So the issue will be related to mother board or processor.
But I got display in the morning , how ?
I have used it without UPS for two years , and I am using UPS for 6 months.I think using UPS gives more issues.

PC specs:
And athlon 3200+
Biostar motherboard
1GB X 2 DDR2 RAM
450 W SMPS
500 GB SATA HDD
DVD±RW
17 CRT

I know , a new PC is the best option , but I am student and I can't afford it now.

What should do , ''chip level'' ?

I am using my android tablet to write this issue , so if there is any words non related to the topic , my autocorrect did that ...

Solution
Firstly replace the UPS battery at once and make it work, it's important.

Secondly buy a decent PSU/SMPS (I assume it's a local one and not reliable)

Lastly try to reseat your RAM. Make sure you do it properly. See how it works.

Note: Using a UPS is very important in an area where power failure happens regularly. It will protect your PC from serge, spike etc.

Thanks for the reply guys.

I have already tried resetting bios , I didn't tried it with another RAM module .
Yes , it is a cheap SMPS ,but I have tried another working good smps .
Nothing changes .. I have warranty on my UPS , I will get the battery replaced without any cost .
But I am worried about the motherboard , if it is the problem of my MB ,I have give it for chip level .
And if it didn't get resolved , I will have to buy new MB,Processor and RAM, will be costly.

How to reset RAM ? Just remove ,clean and insert ? Or any other procedure?

Yes, just remove RAM sticks, clean it with a rubber/eraser, don't touch the gold connectors with fingers, and reseat it properly. That's it.

And the last resort will be MB, if it was fried. Search for a compatible MB that supports your CPU and RAM, no need to buy new parts altogether. Lets hope for the best. Always use an UPS. Buy a decent PSU/SMPS for your own good, don't go cheap on that. Good luck.

After twoweeks , I got a call from the chip level guys , saying the motherboard can't be repaired!
Now I have two options
1). Buy a new motherboard of Foxconn (other brands are not available with AM2 slot)
2). Buy second hand motherboard and second hand processor.

Is Foxconn good ?

Is ASRock N68C-GS FX motherboard good for an AMD Athlon 3000+ 1.8GHz processor ?
It is the only available AM2 compatible motherboard in my area.
I will not over clock , it will run in 32 bit mode always.
Basic gaming , video playback and lots of internet , that's what I do....
Sometimes I will use my PC for 15 hours a day.
This motherboard is not made only for AM2 processors.
Is it gonna run an AM2 in compatibility mode ?
