My Dell vostro just died and I really needed to get my files off it have removed the hard drive and got a Usb adapter and when I open it there is only the DELL recovery stuff (WIM) is the file fomat. Have tried extracting and file recovey programs, but doesnt seem theres much there, some file that can be found date backto 2010 and seem to be mostly factory stuff. It also says that it is only 14GB the hard drive which is not correct it should be much bigger than that, I have looked using Testdisk and it says it is 350GB it also looks like there are three partitions. If there is a partition in place and how can I access the partitioned files?
Ps I dont really have much of an understanding of any of this so any help wuld be massivly appreciated especially the step by step kind!
