Hello,

My question is, how would I go about having a 500gb drive for boot drive with windows installed on that drive and having a seperate 1tb drive for storage?

At present both drives are clones, having the operating system on both drives. Also, how would I have the system recognise the 500gb as the boot and 1tb as storage?

Thankyou for all your help.

Solution
If you want to make 500gb drive the boot drive don't make any changes to it.

Unplug the 500gb drive, and plug in the 1tb drive, put the installation media(DVD/USB), follow the steps until you get to the "drive partition" screen, there delete all the partition, and create "new partition" as you desired on it, don't install OS, exit the setup.

Plug in the both the drives, the boot drive will be automatically detected, you don't have to do anything, and the remaining drive will be for storage(1TB).

Done. Cheers.

NOTE: Make a backup of your valuables before you format a drive.
