Can you use case fans to cool a Corsair H80?

Solution
Depends.

Most case fans are optimized for high air flow. To use on a rad, you want to use fans optimized for static pressure.
I´d say, just compare the static pressure of your stock fans (or Corsair SP120 for that matter) with your desired fans.

I agree with Som3one, but just to clarify, static pressure and airflow are always inversely proportional at any given moment. So you do want airflow through the rad, but you get it from a high static pressure rating. (Static pressure refers to how much it would be pushing if you strapped it to a wall and turned it on) Below I've linked my favorite line of rad fans, and there's a graph that explains the inverse proportionality.

Another site did a brief comparison of case fans on an H80 radiator. Nothing beat the stock fans on high, although the stock fans were also louder than most of the other fans. The Corsair SP120 High Performance fans came really close, but were also really loud.

The two fans that stuck out for overall performance were the Enermax Magma and Noctua NF-F12.
