I need help reducing the cost of my current build, and lack the knowledge to know where I can cut corners without compromising the build integrity.

Overclocking and SLI/Xfire are not required, the goal of the built is to create a solid gaming rig with 3-4 years of use before upgrading becomes a necessity.

I am located in Australia and will be ordering my parts from PC case gear.

My Current unrefined build:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Overclocked 2GB $389
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler $40
Antec GX700B Gaming Case $79
Intel Core i5 3570 $235
Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 $99
Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 $89
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard $119
Silverstone Strider Plus 750W ST75F-P $145
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1 OEM $105
Shipping approx $100

Total : $1400

My goal is to get this build as close to $1200 delivered as possible.

*Can I get away with a stock intel cpu cooler if I have no intentions to overclock?

*Is there a better, cheaper budget mid tower case then the GX700B?

*How much lower can I go with the motherboard without sacrificing important features?

*What is the cheapest/best, lowest possible watt power supply I can use for this build?

Your thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading.

Solution
Get an i5 3450 and an h77 board if you do not want to overclock. Also drop the cooler.

Get a WAY cheaper PSU. Something 550w from Antec, XFX, Corasair, seasonic.

cut down on the 2TB hard drive and get a 500 to 1TB drive.. you can always add a second drive later.
you don't need the cooler if you don't plan to over clock but make sure that the cpu your buying dose come with an intel boxed cooler.
if you don't need or plan to use some of the features consider using a micro atx motherboard.
the 750 watt should be more then enough how ever consider corsair or cooler master. and you may be able to get away with a 550 650 watt instead of the 750 watt.
and the GTX 670 i would consider a 7970 at about the same price plus a few games so..

Why 670? Go for a 7970 for $40 less at ncix: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-ax79703gbd52dhv3
or a 770(20$ more, but drastic improvement.)
Here's a budget build that will play games just as good, for much less $$$

Thank you for the replies. Regarding price comparisons, I am located in Australia and we pay a little more for our parts.

The cheapest GTX 770 at Pc Case Gear is $AU449 and the cheapest 7970 is an HIS Radeon HD7970 3GB for $AU389

Which h77 board would you recommend?

Doesn't matter. That price for RAM is unacceptable anywhere.
