My i7 3770K Runs Between 90 and 104 Degrees (celcius) During Heavy Gaming Please Help

It is not overclocked or anything, I have a fantastic case, lots of good fans that keep the the inside cool, the stock cpu fan (which I understand is not the best). I run a gtx 670 and an Asus Z77 Sabertooth mobo with 8GB of ram. This CPU temperature is not normal, is it? During CS: GO it will be around 98, during BF 3 I've seen it get to 104, and during Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed, I've seen the likes of 58 and 75ish. I kept looking online to see what's up and everyone says different things. I have double checked that the CPU fan has been installed properly and it definitely has. My computer has never shut down automatically from too much heat and the games themselves run just fine. What are the possible causes of this problem? Or is it even a problem for this cpu? Thanks!

Edit: Edit: idle temps are usually around 46 - 48.

Easy fix. The Heatsink isnt secured correctly. Take it off, Reapply new thermal paste and reinstall. Press your thumb down hard on the center of the heatsink then push down hard on the pins in an x pattern. dont worry you're not going to break anything

Just to be clear (I don't want to mess anything up haha), by heatsink, you mean the little CPU cooler that came with the CPU? When I take that off should I take the actual CPU out of it's slot to clean the paste off the top or should I just leave it there?

Heatsink = Stock cpu cooler and no to taking the CPU out. Just use a tissue or some toilet paper to get it off the processor. When reapplying TIM. You only need a peasize in the middle of the processor.

Easy way to cheat is after you install it look at the back of your motherboard. The black pins in the center of the legs should be all the way through. If they're not you have to do it again

Ok I'll run out and get some thermal compound as soon as I can, reinstall the cooler and report back. Thank you for the advice.

Edit: just as a heads up I'll be doing this tomorrow (can't make it to a store in time for today).

I got some good Arctic Silver compound and reseated the heatsink, the problem has been fixed! One of the heatsink pegs may have been sliiiiightly looser than the others or perhaps I had previously applied too much paste. Thanks everyone for your help, and especially Intel God.
