2 things:

1.) I had a lot of issues with Windows Live Movie Maker a year or so back. All of those issues stopped when I disabled AMD's morphological Anti-Aliasing. I highly recommend trying that if you have an AMD card. If you have Nvidia try disabling TXAA.

2.) I did not have an upgrade but moved some things around in PC a few months ago and started getting blue screens like crazy. Particularly with streaming video or playing video games. Other than that it was fairly stable. It appears that I accidentally bumped the CPU heatsink while moving things around which wedged it into the socket. I know this because when I reseated the CPU it was very difficult to open the bar to get it to release. After doing so, reapplying the thermal paste, and re installing the heatsink everything has worked great. I have been problem free for about 2 months now.

If you had an upgrade it is possible something like this may of happened.

How would I do the first one as I have no clue what that is and I did get a new CPU so should I just try and reinstall the CPU? and if so would I have to reinstall windows again because I have done that about 5 times now
