Intel i5 3570k

corsair vengeance 8gb ddr3

The only change I would make is get the 4Gb card if you want to max everything out even @ 1080p crysis 3 and Skyrim(with mods) can use 2Gb. Also don't forget a good cpu cooler if you plan to overclock. Also crysis 3 on very high you wont get 60 fps more like ~50 which is still very playable.

I would rather pick an i5-4670k, makes no sense to buy Ivy-bridge, when you can get better performance for almost the same money.

I wouldn't pick the GTX 770 4 GB version, if 2 GTX 670 in SLI can't take advantage of 4 GB of VRAM, then neither can a GTX 770, which is only 14-16% faster than a single GTX 670. There is a reason there isn't no 4 GB at the reference card, because it makes no sense. Only if in like 3-way SLI.

"We've given the ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II 4GB video cards plenty of opportunities to prove to us why we would need 4GB of VRAM on these. Unfortunately, these have come short of proving this. We tried pushing a single ASUS GTX 670 4GB to the max on a 30" display, at more than playable settings, and also at 1080p. We saw no advantages with a single card. Then we put two together in SLI and tried to push them to the max at 5760x1200. What we found was that higher settings were possible to enable, but the performance wasn't there to allow them to be playable. Simply, the performance of GTX 670 isn't enough to utilize the capacity of 4GB of VRAM.

This is a shame, because the extra RAM has pushed up the pricing on the ASUS GTX 670 4GB to levels that are near Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition and GeForce GTX 680 video cards at $459.99. Both of those video cards are clearly faster than GeForce GTX 670 GPU based video cards. So the extra money, doesn't buy us the extra performance we would want. Instead, the extra money, is better spent buying the faster GTX 680 or HD 7970 GHz Edition GPU based video card, to get better performance in games."

About the PSU? Don't you have any details? A W750 PSU sounds good, but if it is cheap as socks from Wallmart, then it's nothing worth. Details are needed, at least a name.

I do however agree with the others, get a decent CPU cooler and overclock the CPU. Makes no sense to get an overclockable PC with no proper cooling.

It is not known yet if you can play BF4, at highest details. However DayZ standalone, Crysis and Skyrim are assured, you will have no trouble playing at highest details.

Do you mean SeaSonic? Because Seagate is a storage manufacturer. xD

However SeaSonic is king of PSUs, it will be more than sufficient. Hope you understand what I mean by not getting the 4 GB version, GTX 770 isn't powerful enough to use all the 4 GB unless it is in SLI with more GTX 770s. :)

okay now i confused so for overall fps (best bang for your buck) 3570k or 4670k and 770 2gb or 7970? thanks guys really appreciate it btw i will not be OC i am not comfortable with it yet as i am new to pc's

i5-4670k and GTX 770 2 GB. Doesn't make any sense buying old hardware that performs worse to about the same price (talking about i5-3570k vs. i5-4670k).

The quote is only for me to proof that the GTX 770 can't utilize 4 GB of VRAM unless in SLI. Not to buy a 7970 or anything else.
