Should my dvd drive fit into my case?

Solution

If you put the motherboard in first, can you slide it back farther?

Its not that it sticks too far out, its that it goes too far back. It goes right over where I have to put my motherboard by about half of a centimeter. The screw holes allow it to be attached farther up but the front part of the case won't let it go that far.

Also, I would really not have to go through the hassle of returning the case and then ordering a new one if possible

That did the trick. I was told to put the disc drive before the mobo so I didnt know that was something to do (this is my first time building a computer). Thanks!
