Not sure what happened. I have a GA-Z77X-UD5H with F14 bios. it -is- overclocked to 4.6 and running fine. Today I entered the bios to make a couple of tweaks, and I cannot change anything having to do with overclocking: clock ratio, frequency; current... all the usuals. But I -can- change all the unrelated features (peripherals, and so on.)

Somehow I've managed to lock myself out of overclocking, and my tired old brain just cannot, after hours of screwing with it, figure out what I did.

It's probably something REALLY OBVIOUS... but before I wipe out the entire thing and reinstall the entire BIOS, would someone give me a sanity check?

(At least I'm locked out at my faster speed! :-) but it would sure be nice to be able to go back in and mess around...)

Go ahead and ridicule me... just help me figure out what I've forgotten to do.

Thanks!

I am a newbie and don't know bios stuff, but I do hope you can get it unlocked or someone with know-how can be of help.
The best of luck

Degreaser: thanks for the thoughts.
Tradesman1: nope: turbo is off (else it would not be running at 4.6 at all)

I did just discover this: I work in the "advanced mode" instead of that cute 3D of the mobo. Guess what? When (on a whim) I switched to 3D mode, I could adjust whatever I wanted (given the limits of that graphic interface.) But the instant I go back to advanced mode, everything related to OC is locked up.

Huh?
