This has been asked before by others but I couldn't find a clear answer.
So my question is, Will a Radeon 7770 bottleneck a Intel E5800 3.20 ghz processor?
And if it helps, its a dell inspiron 560, the thing is a dinosaur.
8Gb g skill ddr3 ram
Stock dell 300 watt, but im planning on upgrading to a higher one one I get a clear answer.
My bios is locked so no overclocking it.
Will there be a big bottleneck or just slight? Slight is okay.

If it does bottleneck big time, can you mates recommend a cheap motherboard and cpu that can keep up with the gpu? Just enough to get rid of the bottleneck.

Its going to be mostly played with Sims 3, gf loves the game. I do play FPS games like CoD, BF3 and CS 1.6 :D Preferably 1080 as I have a 1080 monitor, but if I need to change the settings to give room for the game, then I would

Alright mates. Based on you guys answers it should work, might slightly or might not, I think I'm gonna go ahead and pay for the one I've won on eBay $75 is a steal for xfx core r7770 :D. Going to test it and see if I need to change cpu. Any recommendations for a cheap cpu just to get rid of bottleneck just in case? No need for a high end one.
