I bought a GTX 560ti at Micro Center today (http://microcenter.com/product/409620/GeForce_GTX560Ti_1GB_PCI-Express_Video_Card_-_Refurbished), along with a 650W Dual 12V PSU (http://microcenter.com/product/395049/Bronze_80_ILG-650E_650_Watt_ATX_Power_Supply).
Install went fine. Driver update also went fine. But now when I try to play a game (Marvel Heroes or World of Tanks), I get a black screen, w/ no sound from game. Case, CPU, PSU and GPU fans keep running, but nothing else happens until I resort to holding in the power button to reboot.
It reboots like nothing happened, and the machine seems very stable in desktop and using web browser. No unusual temps or voltage that I can see running HWMonitor.
Is it that my old MB or CPU simply can't handle this setup once things start rolling?

Didn't see it in there, but the motherboard is an Asus M2A-VM (Green).
I'd be happy to provide any other info that might help.
I know a new motherboard and CPU would do the trick, but is there any reason why this setup shouldn't run a few non-demanding games?
