Hey guys, just wondering whats going on with my gpu clock.
I have the ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 and when playing bf3 my gpu clock goes consistently at 1162, but when I play DayZ my gpu clock skips between 1058 and 1162.

My questions are:

1. Shouldn't my gpu clock go to 1110, not 1162?
2. Why is my gpu clock higher in BF3 than in DayZ?

Any help is much appreciated!

Its called GPU Boost 2.0. BF3 is more graphically intense than DayZ, so it does not need to run at max clock in DayZ, UNLESS its overheating, which is doubtful.
Monitor temps just to be sure.

I hit about 70-75 celcius while playing dayz

But why is my boost clock not going to 1110 as it should?

Because it does not need to, are you getting low FPS? What FPS are you getting? Is VSYNC on? What monitor are you using?
If you are not experiencing issues, then why are you worried?

I get about 80+ fps. I am not complaining about anything, I am just curious as to why my gpu core is exceeding what it is said to do (1110) without me even overclocking it. I am determining my clock with GPUTweak

EDIT: I get 80+ fps in BF3. In DayZ I get about 40-50 and my lows are 30

GPU Boost 2.0 does that if the card is within thermal spec.

I just did a test with FurMark and my clock was constantly changing between 1058 and 1164. So you are saying this is normal because my temps are fine and GPU Boost wants to OC higher?

Yes, that is what I am saying, the Boost clock on that card is 1156MHz, NOT 1110MHz.

I hope you mean 1164 not 1156. Anyway, in conclusion, my card is perfectly fine and acting normal, correct?

Well I meant 1156MHz, but it does not matter as GPU Boost 2.0 is capable of doing things dynamically. And yes, all is normal.
