So I was having problems with a program I installed and I decided to boot Windows 8 on safe mode and see if the problem was still present. To my dismay, when I booted safe mode, it asked for my password. I used to boot always using the PIN code option, to the point that I´ve forgotten my password. Now I´m stuck in the msconfig safe mode loop and cant get out. Is there a way to access msconfig without booting so I can get out of the loop? Or how can I reset my password?
Either shut down & boot from BIOS or Shut down & reset CMOS jumper.
No idea how to do the CMOS trick, but if I do it wont i have to later reconfigure ALL hardware manually? Im not an expert on this, so I dont want to do anything I may later regret. Also, my PC is a ultrabook so I cant pop it open. I tried using the cmd from advanced options to change the boot values but it wont let me (was using bcdedit).
