sb live 5.1 not installing

We have a dell dimension 4600 running win xp pro. I tried installing the driver from dell for the sb live audio but the drivers aren't installing although the control panel/sound lists it as the sound card.

Help appreciated.

Don't know how this happened but after turning on the computer today, the yellow question mark was gone and the sound card was detected.
