It's usually the top/first pci-e slot in your mobo, it's the black one.

i need to know the pci-e version of my motherboard............some people say that it has 1.1 and some people say that it has 2.0 which version it have.....i want to know this because I am going to get a radeon hd 7750..if it's a pci-e 2.0 but if it is older than this version then I think that i have to buy a nvidia gtx650 instead of the radeon hd 7750 cause amd hd 7700 series graphic cards have compatibility issues with older pci-e versions

so will this motherboard support a radeon hd 7750 or a gtx 650....i think nvidia cards are good when it comes to pci-e version compatiblity ....but will a this graphic card-(http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/GTX650E1GD5/#overview) can be handled by a generic 450 watts psu having 12v=25a..what do you think ?????is this a good choice

I would never use a generic power supply. If you read through the forums here, there are just way too many problems caused by power supplies. Probably the number one source of problems. Have you already purchased that power supply? What make/model is it?

Calculate how much power you need here: www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp‎

Then get one from XFX, seasonic, or corsair

As for your pcie 1.1 compatibility, my understanding is the same as yours. You want the nvidia card if you are using a newer card in a 1.1 slot.

well i've saw some threads and also have asked some people on this site who are running an hd 7750 on a g41 chipset (which i currently have in my motherboard ) perfectly without any problems .there are some videos on youtube also in which people are running hd 7750 without any problems ...all explained me that 7700 series doesn't have any kind of problems with an intel g31 and above chipsets ....so i am finalising hd 7750 ..is it good to go with it cause it works with my generic 450watts psu also doesn't needs to put extra money ..what do you say ?

visit this link-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RooC7IH8ih0

see this person system specs as he has a perfectly running 7750 on g41 chipset

visit a forum via this link -http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1649869/radeon-7750-work-pci-express-slot-motherboard-digilite-g41mx3.html

this person also has the same problem like i have and see the results now ....that he has a running hd 7750 on a g41 chipset (pci-e 1.1 *16 slot)

so i want to know the final verdict from all of you about this so called "pci-e version compatiblity issue with radeon hd 7700 series".should i believe these peoples ? should i buy this card .i don't want to waste money on a graphic card which isn't compatible with my motherboard .
