Hello, so I have a Gateway gm5632e. In the past couple weeks it turns itself off every hour due to unknown problems. So recently it turned off and won't start up. I get the error -
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0f: Existing Intel Boot Agent.
No bootable device -- insert boot disc and press any key

I messed around with some of the bios and nothing seems to work. So I decide to open up my computer. Dear god I can't even explain to you how badly they lock everything up. It honestly looks like a jail cell. It seems everything is bolted in and is inside a metal sheath. If someone could help me out with: A- Possibilities on how to fix the login screen (where the media test failure, check cable etc comes up) so I acknowledge that it's not the hard drive, or B- how to take out the hard drive it would be MUCH appreciated.

Solution
This should tell you everything you need to replace the hard drive (my number one suspect here) http://support.gateway.com/s/Manuals/Desktops/8512418.pdf - direct pdf link with a black, blank start page. Beginning on page 35 it tells you how to get into the computer and change parts
afterthought: You might want to save the pdf file onto a jump drive or other portable media for future reference - Gateway tends to pull the support info at about the 7 year mark, also the hard drive removal part is pg 47
