I have an Intel i7 2630QM which has a clock speed of 2.0ghz. However last time I used CPU-Z and Speccy and both programs told me that most of my 4 cores were going at around 2500mHz which is 2.5gHz when the clock speed is supposed to be around 2.0gHz.

Anyone know why my CPU is like that?

Note: I did not overclock the CPU in anyway.

Welcome to the wonderful world of TURBO BOOST! Your CPU is cable of going into Turbo Boost up to a max of I believe 2.9GHz for short periods of time when under load, it's fine, let me grab the sheet, here you go (it is 2.9):
