Yeah it would but you should definitely consider a GTX 780 in order to actually max most of them out.

Run? Yes. Max out (including antialiasing) at a 60FPS average? No.

Is there a significant difference when you max out the games?

Yes but I don't recommend it. I'm currently using a single, overclocked GTX 780 for 1440p and it run games over 40 FPS 99% of the time pretty much maxed out where necessary. The cheapest way to get very good 1440p performance would be to get 2 HD 7950s but with the current state of Crossfire this is not recommended.

You might consider a 2-card SLI setup however, what's the highest your budget can go for the graphics?

Yes, anti-aliasing isn't even really needed so that could be avoided in order to get more frames. You could always just buy one card now and wait until you either have the money or need more performance and get a 2nd for SLI, which then I would suggest 2 770's.

The best option within that budget would be 2x GTX 760, which would technically pass GTX 780 in raw performance, but the power requirements and heat/noise output would be somewhat higher. I'd wager you'd need a decent 700W power supply as a minimum and of course a motherboard that let's you install two cards in SLI and preferably so that one empty expansion slot remains between them.

It's a good unit. Ultimately this depends on your current CPU and if its overclocked. If you're on a 3rd or 4th gen Intel CPU then you're most likely fine.

Yeah, I was literally about to suggest this after rethinking the budget. Unless you already have a PSU ready for 2 760's I would just suggest getting a single 780 if you can squeeze out the remaining money needed.

Edit: Your PSU should be enough for 2 760's so that would be the best way to go without a doubt.

I have an i5 3570k planning on overclocking to 4.5 will that consume to much energy? and what uses more energy the 770 or 760?

(These approximated by my brain, may not be completely accurate) 2 760s consume around 50-70% more power than a single 770. 2 770s consume 50w more than 2 760s.

Guru3D GTX 760 SLI review calculates the TDP for the GPUs only at 343W under load. Since you have a quality Seasonic unit, you're probably good to go. And you might just want to read the entire thing here: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_760_sl...

Some games won't work first day until there is a patch for the game to support it. Crossfire has problems with stuttering that don't plague NVIDIA so SLI should work fine.
