I've got rugged thundebrbolt external hdd: I should disassamble it, I am not expert in data connectors, I need to be sure about the possibility to plug the lacie rugged data port into a USB adapter. My newest laptop has been stolen, I urgently need to backup from lacie rugged thunderbolt-only time machine to my older only-firewire macbook

There should be some kind of screws or clips holding it together. If you open it and remove the drive, you can put it into a USB case and connect to it that way.
Opening it is the hard part. You will almost certainly void the warranty, and probably damage the case.
