upgrade cpu i3 to a i7

can i upgrade my acer aspire 5750g laptop cpu i3 to a i7 cpu and if i can what is the best to get. i have already upgraded my ram from 6gb to 8 gb and it is a far better laptop for doing so.

Yes change the HDD for a SSD will be a good idea as a SSD will lower the power usage and make the laptop snappier (read faster) though you will need a program that can make a clone of your HDD to your SSD then.

Not sure your laptop is geared for the extra power use the i7 uses neither your PSU for the laptop. And think allso - it will be cheaper to but new than get a old used laptop to switch the cpu - and you can´t buy mobile cpu´s as you can with desktop cpu´s.

thanks but i no speaky your lingo as i am a novice, i just want my laptop to be faster,any ideas.also would it be a good idea to ditch my hard drive and go for a solid state drive.
