my card:GV-N770OC-2GD
cpu: i5 3570 non k

is there a bottleneck with my cpu and video card? i also dont know if my video card came overclocked or just have the option to overclock, if it came overclocked can i disable it? i want the card to be in its regular setting because i read that overclocked gpus are causing crysis 3 to freeze and crash the pc and it happend to me several times even when i lowered the graphic setting(even though i get good fps with very high setting and txaa set to medium 1920x1080)

thanks

Your cpu will never bottleneck any modern card so be assured...

And to answer your second question, do not downclock the card if it is factory overclocked...Factory overclocked cards are perfectly table at the factory...

What you heard was maybe about manually overclocked cards and not factory Oced ones...

thanks! you are awesome dude! is there a way to add rep or something?

if i reset the options in the nvidia control panel does that mean i downclocked my gpu? do you know how to fix the crashes in crysis 3? because im getting pretty good fps with very high setting and i dont want to play on less than what my card can do..

No reseting wont help because the overclocks are set the videocard bios. You have to either manually downclock it using msi afterburner or do a bios flash....But as I said earlier there is no need for downclocking you will be fine and STABLE with the factory OCed values so don't worry and just have fun with your newly acquired beast....

i didnt ask because i want to downclock i asked because i thought i might have done it with the nvidia control panel. i knew it wasnt possible but i wanted to be sure.. do you think the problem with crysis is because of the game not my system?

Well then it might be because of the drivers try to update to the latest drivers...Older NVidia driver were known to have bugs with crysis 3...

What do mean by freeze....do you mean fps drops??
If yes then lower your settings in crysis 3 it is a demanding game and a gtx 770 cannot max it out @ 1080p and still crack 60fps...

I know it doesnt run on 60fps but still good enough to play the game(V. High) and even when i get very smooth gameplay and high fps(High) the game still freeze but i am able to ctrl+alt+ delete most of the time
