Need suggestions on upgrading Graphics Card.

Hi All,

I was thinking of upgrading my graphics card as with recent games my pc spec is struggling. Could anyone please advise what card would be compatible with my spec and not get bottlenecked and any other upgrade (memory?).

Could I also save one of my Geforce 9600 GSO and use it as a PhysX Card?

PC used for Games and watching movies.
Budget is £250-£300 ($370-$440).

Compatibility wise you shouldnt have a problem, graphics cards that use pcie 3 cards still work on pcie 2 slots,

I really wouldnt use the 9600gso at all, its way behind the times and the 660 or 760 would be good cards for you to choose, and not many programs make use of PhysX, the 660 and 760 are more than capable of doing everything you'd require by them selves, :)

however if you are set on doing so, remember your psu must be able to run two cards

Im not sure about bottlenecking, but the 760GTX is well in your budget, and would be good at playing games at that resolution,
i have the 670GTX which the 760GTX is based off and i dont have any problems with 1080p on any games,

very nice cards just have to pick which one you would want, best to read up on reviews of which model but evga is usually a good way to go,

thanks for the reply stedaley, do you know if the 760GTX is compatible with my mobo? I've read the 660 might be.
could I use one of my old Geforce 9600 GSO as a PhysX Card? can I mix and match cards like that?
