Hi there,

This is my first time building a PC for gaming.

I already bought everything except the graphics card!

Here is my rig:

ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K

Kingston 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9/4G

and fpr the PSU:

I want to be able to play all modern games at 1080p!

Is gtx 660ti enough for that? or i need a better card? do i need to upgrade RAM & PSU?

My budget is 330$

Thanks in advance!

I recommend go with the latest GK 104 core that's in the GTX 760.And u should get the gigabyte or zotac amp one. It's clocked to very high frequencies and u will be able to play games like crysis 3 on very high settings.Definitely better than the hd 7870.But I am worried about your psu. It's compatible, modular but 450w is little bit less. For worry free compatibility get a 500w psu.A corsair cx 500 and seasonic 520w.

You can get a 7970 or even a 7970 ghz edition for $330 right now. That would be much better than a 660ti. Or if you really want to go nvidia, you could get a gtx 760, which performs about as well as a 660 ti.

Also you will need to upgrade your psu. Try to get one from seasonic, xfx, or corsair. You'll need at least 550 for the 760 or 600 for the 7970.

get the hd7970 which is far better than the 250$ gtx760 and is 330$ and the best card for the money.(hd 7970 is equivalent to a gtx770).
hd7970-

u would have better with a 1600mhz memory stick, but still u are fine. That psu wont work for high end gpu's, get at least a corsair CX500W psu. *the hd7970 require one 6pin and one 8pin pci-e connectors which the CX500W has and not the thermaltake one).

Actually the 7970 is significantly slower than a GTX770, comparable to a GTX670 (and the GTX670 can be had for $290 and that gives you a 4GB model too). Even the 7970 GHz Edition is slightly below the GTX770:

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_770/27.html

And the GTX760 is actually faster than the GTX660 Ti and cheaper too. You should always check benchmarks instead of just trusting people are both knowledgeable and honest :)

the hd7970 is the best within 300$ and the gtx760 is best within 250$. :)
Note that the gtx770 is not that faster than the hd7970, it depends on the games u are playing and the 75$ more gtx770 is not really worth the price.
