I have a problem with a p5q deluxe and is the following
despite having completed the process of elimination staying with simple mobo + cpu + gpu + ram, I get the following results:
cpu always present:
mobo without ram: the mobo beeps correctly, warning about the absence of rams
mobo with ram, but without vga: mobo DOESN'T beep.
I can not access POST on the mobo. The ram are functional, tested on another system, either the battery, and just to be sure, i used three of them, one of these new. By the way the FOOLPROOF test of the tongue with battery says it is with charge
eheh just jokin about the foolproof test.
I tested with a second vga, which allowed me to use all 3 pci-e slot of the mobo, the result is always the same.
fans are workin' but as i said, no POST, no beeps, nothing.
The mobo has a fake boot system, and it seems to start working when rebooting, after about 3-5 seconds from the first boot, there is one shootdown and subsequent reboot, no loops, ie stays on (without post), until i shut it down somehow.
I cleaned the cmos all the ways:
Pin with battery, without battery, pin and short circuit of the battery slot.
The thing that makes me doubt is how come even without video card does not emit beep error.
I managed to get them to issue only once, after having removed and put back without any further modification, the cpu.
I have no way to test the cpu on other mobo and vice versa because it is the only socket 775 mobo + I possess, but it was fine until yesterday.
I think also possible that both are dead bios chip?
