My advice- though rarely received well, would be to spend a bit on a power supply. I know a good PSU has no impact on game quality, or system measurables- but it is the engine that makes everything else go. Get a quality Power Supply- it'll last 2-3 times as long, meaning you wont need a new one if/when you upgrade down the road, and less likely to pop and fry the rest of you components if it does give up the ghost someday. You'll also save electricity (and ergo heat)

I'd never spend less than $70-80 on a power supply, even if it meant I had to get a lower quality ram/gpu/etc. Aim for 650W or more and try to get 80 Plus Silver, or higher. It's worth.

I currently use a generic 300w PSU with my HD 7750 so I am sure that one will be enough as long as it is at least decent quality.

Edit: Also I agree with the above except you only really need at least 500w PSU that is 80 plus bronze certified to be certain it is good quality.

I had an older card inno3d gts 450 ddr3 and it broke. Is it because of the power supply? It had a melted part on the back. I'm having a hard time to decide on what to do, either buy a 7750 or buy a decent psu.

Well the PSU you have could work with the 7750. I had no idea if it would work with my PSU and I have been using my 7750 for almost a year so it depends on the quality. Something is telling me your PSU will work fine and to go ahead and get the 7750. Anyway it will just be putting about 50 W more on the PSU which isn't a whole lot.

I'm kinda scared to use my current psu for a 7750 but I only have limited budget so I could only either buy a decent psu or a 7750. thanks for answering ^^ Now I'll just for more people to answer me.

What are the specs on that power supply. I have NEVER heard of the maker.

It does all come down to quality(and design since some units will place most of the power on the lower rails[3.3/5] as opposed to the most used 12 volt rail) as your system will not draw that much power.

As an example, I have a 300 watt that ran a 5770 fine for a good while and now runs a 650 ti(MSI cyclone slight factor overclock) without any issues. Both cards take more power than yours will.

self bumps are kind of frowned on, but hey.

Unfortunately, I do not see a combined rating and that makes it harder to judge the power supply.

For instance, My 300 watt unit in one system has a 14a and 16a rail, but the combined of those 2 rails is clearly not 30 as that would be 360 watts. The combined is listed as 22 amps.

Another link to an image of a power supply listing the combined max in watts(divide by 12 to get amps).

This makes it a bit hard if they do not tell you the combined max. I have seen some that add to get the max, but only some of the older Seasonic based units.

Since my power supply seems to be not that good I plan on buying a new psu along with the 7750. Can you suggest me any cheap power supplies that are well made ? Right now I'm looking at the corsair cx 500w

The CX 500 is a good choice as long as you get a good one.

Either one of the Corsairs will be a good choice so just pick which one you like.
