I didnt understand anything. What is the question about ? If these are options then i would use general advise . If these are fill in the blanks then you need to explain more.

You didn't understand "anything"?

Post your raid config. Example: "I use RAID 6". Then post what you take to be its pros. Example: "Protects against 2 drive fails". Then post the what you take to be its cons "really need a raid card to have decent write performance".

I don't think this is gonna catch on. Sorry about the spam.

3x 2drive raid 0's (video rendering rig) 128gb samsung 830 for the OS another for temp/scratch/whatever files.

pros- sequential read and write speeds.
cons - either drive dies, all data on the array is lost immediately. But hey, thats why I have backups :)
