My computer is having a very odd issue. When I power it on, it beeps, posts and boots up windows xp perfectly fine. However the problem happens about 5-10 minutes after I log into my account. At about this time, my monitor turns black and doesn't even say "no input signal" and all the peripherals cease to function. Both the KB and mouse just shut off for not reason and I cannot use them. I have tried:
-Rebooting the comp, which sometimes works
-plugging in different peripherals, which also sometimes works
-restarting the monitor
-yelling at it for extended periods of time
My specs:
MB: Asus M2N-E
CPU: AMD Althlon 64 x2 5900+ @3.0ghz not overclocked
PSU: AOpen ATX300GU
RAM: Crucial DDR2 @633 mhz 4gb
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 320gb
GPU: Asus Nvidia 7300GT
The computer has worked perfectly for about a year and a bit and has never had any problems. this only started happening a few days ago. Please tell me how to fix this and what is causing it as it is very annoying.
